No single solution, there are millions of solutions
Source: Quote shared from John Morris, Interpretive Program Manager for the National Park Servive (NPS) Alaska Regional Office, at the NASA & NPS Earth to Sky: Communicating Climate Change Conference, Shephardstown, West Virginia, September 30, 2011.
Notes: Unsure where to begin to take action to reduce the impact of climate change? There are so many solutions we can do individually and collectively: investing in renewal energy, such as solar, wind, geothermal, tidal, etc.
According to the PBS documentary, Earth the Operator's Manual: "Globally, energy efficiency could cut the demand for energy by one third by the year 2030."
Planting trees to take carbon out of the atmosphere, is a big solution. Growing your own garden, buying local & organic produce, and eating less meat, can be a big help for the planet also.
As I like to say: Each and everyone of us can change the world. We do this by
1. The way we vote.
2. The products we buy.
3. The attitudes we share with each other.
I also like to say: Think Globally, Act Daily.
