Expanded quote: NASA climate scientist Dr. Joshua Willis:
"A lot of people ask me: 'Has there been a pause in global warming because, like, temperatures aren't increasing as fast as they were a decade ago? And I always say, you know, paws are for kittens and puppies, because global warming is definitely still increasing,"
Notes: Dr. Willis goes on to say:
"We are still getting more heat trapped into the oceans. The oceans are sucking it up. Sea level is still rising. Look at sea record for the past decade. It is going up like gang busters and it hasn't slowed down.
So, is there a pause in global warming? No, there is not really a pause in global warming. Sometimes there are natural fluctuations that we warm up a little faster in one decade and a little slower in another decade, but global warming, human caused climate change, it is definitely going up right up in there.
We have not slowed down at all."
Personally, I have met a few NASA climate scientists. I am not aware of any NASA climate scientist who thinks there is a pause in climate change since 1998. If no respected NASA climate scientist thinks climate change stopped recently, what makes you think it paws...I mean...paused recently?
